Work on the main floor is now complete. "We decided to approach this project, as much as possible, in the same frame of mind as a homeowner," says Sharon Grech. "We didn't splurge, we kept costs down by retaining some items of furniture and building our palette around them. But at the same time we did something that no homeowner would do - on the main floor we used two entirely different colour schemes to demonstrate how easy it is to create different home environments, even using the same furniture."
Designer Classics consists of colours that Canadians know, love and trust. Benjamin Moore introduced the Designer Classics Collection several years ago; it was so popular that the company recently expanded the collection by adding 132 more colours that have all been strong favourites in Canada in the past. The collection is now more than twice its previous size.
"Because these colours are familiar they have a charm of their own," says Sarah St. Amand. "And they have another special quality - they share neutral undertones that enable them to blend with just about any environment, style, or space. Speaking as a designer, I can say they are some of the most comfortable colours to work with that I know of."
